What started at 5 a.m. with a tirp to the lovely Memphis International Airport has now concluded with check-in at the downtown Marriott Courtyard in lovely Columbia.
Mid-80s. No humidity. Nice.
I feel I’ve been gone a month. So, help me out. Have I missed out on anything? Surely, there’s some news.
As for the team, they are scheduled to arrive early this evening. However, they’re not staying in Columbia. Instead, they are lodging in Augusta. Golf anyone? I hear there’s a nice course there.

“Mike and Jay’s Picks” on Dawgsbite.com Who are these guys and who do they think they are? One of them is a Vanderbilt fan. For some reason, he is under the illusion that Vanderbilt is no longer the bottom feeder of the SEC. I don’t care what the past 6 or seven years have looked like for State, I’m just glad we’re not Vanderbilt. The one guy, Jay, actually thinks that Vandy is tough. IMO, they are still a joke. One of his comments “Well, hello MSU, welcome to the SEC.” What in the heck is he talking about? When was the last time Vandy went bowling? If I were a gambling man, I would bet that Vandy still won’t make it to a bowl this year. Until they do, this guy really needs to can it because he doesn’t sound very credible right now. They haven’t even come close to sniffing the Georgia Dome…..just don’t understand how Vandy fans think they have the right to talk trash or Joke any other SEC school, unless it’s about academics.

imabulldog, I asked everyone I knew associated with the team last night and they were tight lipped. They know who the starter is, but said, “We’re not releasing that info.” Fine. If I had to guess, though, it’s going to be Wesley Carroll.
