Due to the ongoing coverage regarding the indictment of Barry Bonds, ESPN’s football preview show from 7-8 p.m. will not be aired. That means the Sylvester Croom interview via telephone has been cancelled.
Can you believe an entire two hours devoted to Barry Bonds’ troubles? Of course you can. It’s ESPN.

Hey Gregg, I am going to be in Anaheim next weekend and I was wondering if you know (or could find out) where the BB team will be staying while they are there?

That’s another flaw of ESPN’s…when someone has misfortune, they are like a bunch of pirahnna (spelling) whether it’s talking about a coach’s job security or a jail sentence for an athlete. One of the most annoying questions asked by ESPN analysts “Is this coach’s job in jeopardy?”

Bonds Sucks! Sucks! He cheated and tainted a record, and ESPN has kissed his butt all the way, they are the first ones to save him and the first ones to try and fry him-Get off the fence! Call him Guilty, get passed the race issue and move on! One more reason to hate him, we don’t get to see our Coach, but we get watch million dollar idiot commmentators beat around the bush and delay the inevitable-about whether or not this cheater-cheated!?!

ESPN has sucked big time in recent years. Sportscenter isn’t hardly worth watching anymore. Or, maybe it’s just that pro sports suck now (excluding NFL).

After watching one half of basketball, I think we lost more than we thought when losing those Delk twins. We don’t look like the same team from a defensive/rebounding standpoint…could be a long season if they don’t solve the rebounding problem. The good news is that it’s only game #2

Keep our chins up guys! We are going to come back and win this one. Bad off. performance, Hansborough got beat to the whole about 8 times, Rhodes in foul trouble, the REFS completely on Clemson’s side.
We just have to come out in the 2nd half and take this one-we’ll win don’t worry

Two words, NO RESPECT.

No respect???

Play of the Game: Gordon’s rediculous pass that got stolen, followed by Hansborough’s rediculous attempt at a “good” foul. Total momentum changer. This game should have been wrapped in Maroon and White. But, at least the team knows what they really need to improve on.
And I’ve thought for years that the basketball officiating is FAR worse than in football. I would say it looked like the refs were from Carolina, but it’s like that almost EVERY game! Until the NCAA or whoever does something to hold these guys more accountable for their calls (or lack of calls), it’s just gonna stay that way.

REFS took it away!!!!

ESPN really needs a strong competitor. They run everything into the ground. Report the news and quit analyzing everything that might happen. I know it has only a phone interview, but this was a big Thursday night game and every little bit of face time helps with recruiting. If it had been Notre Dame that bet Alabama you can guarentee Weis’s interview would not have gotten the boot.

That “beat” Alabama. sorry.

The officiating can be credited to Karl Hess. He is a ref that is notorious for putting a T on people and making questionable calls. Go back and look at his record, the guy is a renegade. He and Stans have had run-ins in the past. I think it was the Xavier game of 2004. I think

The game was against Mississippi in which Karl Hess ejected Stans

Well, this should make you guys happy. I was just out on the Oxford Square eating with the wife and my boss. An Ole Miss frat guy walked by and saw my State jacket and started a Maroon White cheer with me and the wife! It was awesome! We went back and forth a few times! He started the Maroon and without skipping a beat the wife and I chimed in with the White! It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
