One week after being names Rivals.com coach of the year, Sylvester Croom received the same recognition from the American Football Coaches Association Tuesday morning for its Region 2 area.
The Waco, Texas, based AFCA recognizes five regional Coach of the Year winners in each of the Association’s five divisions. Croom joins Rich Rodriguez of West Virginia and Jeff Jagodzinski of Boston College (Region 1), Illinois’ Ron Zook (Region 3), Kansas’ Mark Mangino (Region 4) and Air Force’s Troy Calhoun (Region 5) as regional Football Bowl Subdivision winners.
The AFCA will announce its 2007 National Coach of the Year winners at the 2008 AFCA convention in Anaheim, Calif.
Later today, the SEC will announce its awards.

I dunno know about that……my guess is Kansas’ coach will get it. It might depend on which teams win their bowl games.

Hey, bulldoggirl, question. Is your household going to Mempis or Atlanta or both? Or, neither?
December 4, 2007 at 12:28 pm |
My dad, 2 brothers, and I are going to Memphis. Mom is keeping my kids. They’re 3 and 6 months ( not about to take them). My husband is trying to get someone to go with him to Atlanta ( I can’t afford to go to both), but if he can’t find anyone, he’ll go to Memphis, too.
