Two extremely tough road games to open the season. Then us. Unless they pull off an upset one of those two games, their confidence shouldn’t be very high at least.

I noticed where they are playing 2 Division 1AA teams. I didn’t think that you could do that. What is the rule on that?

  3. Gregg Ellis Says:

southavendawg, JSU is in the process of being certified to play Division I athletics. But there is no rule against playing two Division I-AA programs.

  4. dawgbones Says:

But can you count both of them for post-season play win calculations? Seems like there used to be a rule where you could only count 1 Division I-AA program wins and then only so often to qualify for post-season play?

  5. Gregg Ellis Says:

Those rules have changed, bones. Not exactly sure of the ruling, but I’ll make some calls to see if I can an exact answer for ya.

They should be beat up. Could be a good thing. Or, they could be 3-0 and kick our rear end.

  7. Gregg Ellis Says:

Dang, Farley. I looked and looked for a Hank Hill avatar. Where did you find it?

  8. Gregg Ellis Says:

Never mind. Found one. That just made my day.

Also, guys. There’s a bad rumor that James Meredith passed away. He didn’t. It was his son, Joseph, who died. Lupus, I think.

Definite advantage…They are learning a new option offense and it will take at least three games into the season to get just some of the kinks out. We usually kill option/spread option teams too. We just need to score a few points.

  10. Gregg Ellis Says:

dc31, I think that’s one of the most intriguing games for MSU. Just because of the unknowns.

Maybe if we’re lucky, they’ll be looking ahead to Duke! :D

their offense sucked last year, unstable Qb position, we’ll see a sophmore next year, and their strength was D, but guess what- happy trails John T. We should be able to compete, and give em all they want
