Perhaps it’s with the beef. Regardless, Mississippi State got very little attention in this week’s polls.
Very little. Now, I know some of you are quite happy with this, because of the little faith you seem to have when MSU is ranked. Be advised, when the Bulldogs were 0-2 during their week in the polls, they were without one key ingredient – Ben Hansbrough.
It was a question I asked some coaches this morning, and here’s what they had to say . . .
Andy Kennedy, Ole Miss
“No question. I think the kid has had a tremendous year. He’s truly taken ownership of that team and has elevated his play. I have the utmost respect for his abilities as a player.”
Jeff Lebo, Auburn
“He dominates the ball for them. He is their leading scorer, rebounder and assists guy.”
Lebo also likes his defensive play.
“He’s so big and wide and can move his feet. He gets his hands on balls here and there. He’s a hard guy to get around because his shoulders are so broad.”
