I think we will win the SEC this year. Its time to take over the SEC again.

I just don’t see us finishing that well. We’ll see how Vandy deals with life after Price.

We def have a solid line up this year.
But Vandy is going to be tough. De La Osa, Alvarez, and Flaherty were all picked as Pre-Season All Americans by rivals.com

Alvarez may be the best player in the country.

I just don’t know if we’ll be good enough to finish second this year. We lost some pretty good players in Moreland, Easley and Rea and there will be a lot of youth on the field this year. I know all of our pitching is back but for much of last season the pitching staff struggled. If we didn’t swing the bats so well, it could have been an ugly year.
However, I think the coaching staff has done a really good job of recruiting the last 2-3 years and I honestly see the baseball program back on the rise.
There is something that this program hasn’t had in several years and that is a true ace on the mound. Paul Maholum (sp) was our last truely dominating pitcher.
