His younger brother was in college with me. Nice guy despite the connection with the other “school”.
By the way, another connection was that Grantham played with the original NY Titans (later Jets). The first Titans coach was Sammy Baugh who went there from being head coach at Hardin-Simmons (where I teach). The second coach was Clyde “Bulldog” Turner who played college ball at Hardin-Simmons. Bulldog died a few years ago. Sammy still lives — crusty as ever. None of that will be on the final exam.
