Brown, Wesley plead guilty
Former Mississippi State football players Quinton Wesley and Mike Brown both entered guilty pleas to possession of a weapon on an educational property, their lawyers told me in an email.
Their penalty for the March 27 shooting incident on campus carries between zero years and three years in jail.
The judge will announce their sentences on Tuesday, a hearing that is set for 1:30 p.m.
I apologize for not having this yesterday. However, I took the afternoon off and didn’t check my email until today. That’s baseball.

maybe, they will get the Maximum sentence.

I hope they do not get any time! Zero! Sure, it was a dumb move on their part, but what about the trouble makers, Anthony Divine and others. Today’s American Judicial system will only teach those who enter her cells…how to be better instigators of bad judgement the next go-a-round. This is a case where judgement should be community service.

Obviously, this is a tough call for the judge. Otherwise, he would have done the sentencing on Friday. I imagine both will get jail time, with a reduced sentenced.

Pleading guilty to felony charges creates a mark against them that will never be removed! This alone will affect their lives forever…when they apply for jobs, mortgage loans, vote, etc. As legal counsel, I woud have argued for a pre-emptive felony charge. Where you go back in 2 years and remove it from your record…
