Some good reading on SEC teams not named Mississippi State:
• Kentucky, Vandy off to uncharacteristic 4-0 starts
• Vols quarterbacks keep it friendly
• McKinley to play for Gamecocks
And for the record, here is this weekend’s schedule of games:
Kentucky at Alabama (2:30 p.m., CBS)
Florida at Arkansas (11:30 a.m., Raycom)
Auburn at Vanderbilt (5 p.m., ESPN)
South Carolina at Ole Miss (1 p.m.)
Northern Illinois at Tennessee (6 p.m., PPV)
Since we’ve got no MSU game to predict, let’s make some predictions on these games. Here are mine: Alabama, Florida, Vandy, Ole Miss, Tennessee.

I like Kentucky to beat the spread but lose, Florida to beat the spread and win (very big), Auburn to win by a field goal, and South Carolina to win by two scores (it’s tough to come down from a big upset win like that, plus, Spurrier kind of has Nutt’s number).

Meant to say Bama to win but not against the spread. My bad. Doesn’t make sense the way I wrote it first.

Boise State 38, La Tech 3 Boy, if we just had an offence that could score 38 against anybody!!! Do you think we could entice the Boise coach to come to MSU for $1.8 mil?
Now for the gusses: Bama 40 Auburn 20 Fl 47 OM 24
Ky 17 Vandy 14 Ark 10 SC 17

UK 34- Bama 30= I don’t know if Bama can handle the UGA win, after the Clemson game this year, they struggled with Tulane. Rich Brooks is doing a great job in Kentucky but I don’t know if they are for real as their stats indicate. Good game all around.
UF 48- Hogs 10= Urban is pissed after the Ole Miss game, he has been whinning about Ole Miss cheating on the block.
Auburn 17- Vandy 10= I hope Vandy wins, but it is Vandy and they do find ways to blow it. UT fans up here are in fits about Vandy, Life is good.
USC 21- Ole Miss 17= I believe Spurrier’s job is in jeporady and Ellis Johnson will pull it out for him. Snead is good but does make alot of INT’s
UT 31- NIU 9= Fulmer needs Stephens to save his career.
