So another game week begins for Mississippi State. It can be a fresh start of sorts, but there’s still that 1-4 record hanging over their heads. This Saturday, unbeaten and 13th-ranked Vanderbilt – seriously? – comes to town for a 1:30 p.m. non-televised kickoff.
Here is today’s story on what lies ahead for MSU. One thing that’s unknown is who Vanderbilt will put under center this week. Starter Chris Nickson aggravated an injured shoulder early in Saturday’s win over Auburn, and Mackenzi Adams filled in quite capably. Said coach Bobby Johnson of the QB spot: “It’s always up for grabs.”
Me, I want to know if Sylvester Croom plans on sticking with Tyson Lee at QB or if he’s got him on a short leash. I’ll ask during the 10 a.m. teleconference. Check back with y’all then.

BL, “What lies ahead”, nice. What makes me frustrated after reading the article is we’re a handful of plays (4 or 5) from being 3-2.

To me Vandy has two good QB’s that can perform, and receivers that can catch the ball.
What impressed me the most about Vandy is both sides of their line showed up and both palyed the entire game.
If we can not win this weekend, hard to see any improvement rest of the season – only hope is we win the egg bowl to have something to brag about.
State has to put it together this weekend – put Vandy away – no questions asked.
Like La Tech feel Vandy is going to be fired up for the game….belives they can win.
Would like to see Vandy to go to a bowl game – but not with a win against State.

Skydawg my respect to you and hopeful that State beats Vandy, but for the egg bowl hope you see a lost here.

Jimmy…..nothing is sweeter than beating Ole Miss in their backyard.
