Quickie quiz: What Division I-A team has yet to recover an opponent’s fumble this season? That’s team, singular, not plural.
Time’s up: Tennessee. No lie. In fact, opponents have only put the ball on the ground twice in six games. However, the Volunteers are tied for 50th in the nation in turnover margin (minus-1) thanks to their 11 interceptions made.

1 yard rushing! I didn’t know GA was such a defensive team this year. Oh wait, it wasn’t GA’s D but TN’s O. Momentum is on our side. If our O puts up 14-17 points we get the W. I predict our D finally gets a pick 6 this week. Fulmer is as stubborn as Croom he will not change his scheme and that does nothing but help us.
Go State!

I watched Fulmer’s show last night and he’s a blooming idiot. During the highlights of the game he must have said, “I don’t know what we were trying to do on that play” at least 5 times. I’m convinced Woody McCorvey was ruined by Fulmer and may never recover. Looking at the highlights, Tennessee’s defense left the middle of the field open all day. That’s something our offense has done all year, throw it down the middle of the field. Hopefully our coaches are seeing the same weaknesses I obviously saw. Georgia hit 5 or 6 passes over the middle where there wasn’t a defender within ten yards of a receiver or tight end. We have to throw it vertically more. All these little out routes are beginning to make me nervous. And there’s no doubt the Tennesse defense has been trained to sit on the short outs.

Excuse me, throwing the ball down the middle of the field is something MSU has NOT done all year.

Okay. What is going on with the Jackson State announcement?
October 13, 2008 at 8:51 pm |
It will be announced tomorrow morning that we will open the 2009 season with J-State in Starkville.

That is too bad. I guess we are gong to pay them $400,000. I guess we will also have to play Southern the next season.

That wouldn’t be so bad, MSU USM was a good rivalry back in the day. Rather play Hardy Street High the J State. Got tickets to the game Sat. Going to start at the end of the strip and bar hop all the way to Neyland. Hope to make the game.

“Than J-State” sorry.

Does that mean playing JSU at Memorial Stadium in Jackson in 2010? Ugh.

Thats the point, they won’t be expecting us to throw it down the middle.
