Georgia still on the mind

If there was a theme today with the players during media opportunities, it was they left something to be desired last Saturday against Georgia at the SEC tournament.

Jamont Gordon, Charles Rhodes and Barry Stewart all talked about how that kind of performance can’t be repeated Friday against Oregon if the Bulldogs want to play on Sunday.

“Well, we didn’t play that well in the SEC tournament,” Gordon said. “So, it’s going to be a chance for us to show how good we really are. So we’re going to definitely try to come out and play our best basketball.”

Said Sir Charles unprompted, “Now we just got to make the best of it, because we didn’t make the best of it in the SEC tournament, which we wanted to win.”

But you could tell Rick Stansbury is tired of talking about the loss.

“we put that behind us,” he said. “That chapter is over and closed. You can open up the next one.”

I guess we’ll see first hand on Friday night how much was taken from that loss.

Had a ball bounced six inches to the right, Duke would have been out of the tourney in the first round two years in a row. If you get them out of Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, they become very average

Sounds like the same song I’ve heard the last couple of years. We didn’t son now we gotta. If you bring it every night you don’t have to play that tune.

    that’s right Chris!

Man I hope our Dawgs represent. I’m so tired of hearing about Memphis- you may not hear about it as much as I do because I live here- but I’m sick of it, I’d love to beat them by 20

I think we were looking past UGA in the SEC tourney, I hope our guys haven’t even thought about Memphis or quack we’ll be gone. By the way, don’t go away mad “Doc”, just go away.

That’s the thing about it hailstate. We’re not so damn good that we should think that we can look past anybody. If were the football team everybody would be screaming bloody murder that CC didn’t get the team ready to play. Who does the responsibility fall to when at least three times a year the basketball team says we didn’t come to play, we didn’t perform in this game now we got to prove who we are in that game. Come on!!

State will win this game by double figures.

  9. 2thdoc Says:

If we are playing catch up with Oregon it will be a long night. Hopefully our defense will stay close to their outside shooters and our inside game with Rhodes will keep our shooting percentages up.

Dogs win 15 tonight and 10 on Sunday!
