Tipoff is quickly approaching

by

Finally, the talk is over. It’s time to play some ball.

I forgot to ask for predictions earlier in the week, so if you want to offer some insight, go for it.

No news to report. All players are present and accounted for. No change in the lineup, either. So are the media reps.

Was Stans sure this team put the Georgia game behind them??

  2. Gregg Ellis Says:

Um, I heard somewhere Oregon can shoot 3s. Just saying.

  3. Gregg Ellis Says:

TGL, the start looks eerily similar to the UGA game.

  4. tupelopixdotcom Says:

We def. don’t look crisp, but I think we’re heating up…

  5. dadawg Says:

    Gregg:

    Eerily is the word…

  6. judwe Says:

They get down the floor LIGHTNiNG fast with Porter

  7. judwe Says:

    Ouch, Porter for 3

    24-19

  8. Gregg Ellis Says:

    Porter can scoot.

  9. Gregg Ellis Says:

    That’s 4 3s already.

  10. tupelopixdotcom Says:

They can’t hit 3’s like that all night. Then again, I said that about Foster against Vandy…

  11. judwe Says:

Not liking the looks of this so far… they flat out execute time and again. We can’t afford ANY lapses, and we’ve already had several.

Maarty Leunen…. now we know why the extra “a”… kid brings his A game.

  12. judwe Says:

It’s been a LONG time since we’ve had the deep production from Ben and Barry that we need. We need one or both of those guys hitting 4-6 three’s a night and it just isn’t happening. When was the last time it did?

    … tick tock, tick tock

  13. dadawg Says:

We can’t buy a three and they can’t miss ’em…

  14. judwe Says:

Scotty Hopson and Dee Bost are going to REALLY push Ben & Barry next year…. we REALLY need Hopson in a bad way.

  15. tupelopixdotcom Says:

Do we have a friggin’ lid on our basket GG? MY gosh….

  16. judwe Says:

    C O L D A S I C E

  17. judwe Says:

It’s cold in there isn’t it Gregg?

  18. Gregg Ellis Says:

I’m sweating it’s so hot. Then again, I’m by the Oregon cheerleaders.

  19. tupelopixdotcom Says:

What is our 3 point and free throw % right now?

  20. judwe Says:

Scary looking Memphis State people…. guess it’s good to get away from the Bluff City for the weekend…. life expectancy goes up for a few fleeting days LOL

  21. tupelopixdotcom Says:

    Ducks have big lips

  22. judwe Says:

    LOL Gregg!!!

Glad to see Charles is bringing it again.

  23. thingreenline Says:

Does Stewart make a habit of traveling with the ball?

“not crisp on offense.” When have we ever been this year?

  24. tupelopixdotcom Says:

at least we’re getting fouls on them

  25. tupelopixdotcom Says:

    Those Oregon uni’s are snazzy

  26. Gregg Ellis Says:

MSU is 0 for 7 form 3-point range, and Oregon is 5 of 12. At the foul line, State is 8 of 10.

  27. judwe Says:

Our offense consists of one player dribbling the ball, no one else moving UNTIL someone comes to the ball for a hand off …. THEN IT REPEATS !!!!

  28. tupelopixdotcom Says:

    0 % awsome

  29. thespear Says:

Charles needs to tell his teammates to join him

  30. tupelopixdotcom Says:

I’m glad we don’t have to run a team 40 yard dash against them

  31. tupelopixdotcom Says:

Just let Rhodes shoot every single time we get the ball

  32. Gregg Ellis Says:

Yep. If MSU is going to have any chance at a comeback, C-Rhodes is going to have to get some help

  33. thespear Says:

I was really hoping the days of shooting woes were behind us this year

  34. thespear Says:

and i pretty sure a two three zone wont challenge the three any better than the man to man… if you gonna play zone its gotta be extended and wide.

  35. judwe Says:

    CLANG !!!

  36. judwe Says:

    CLANG !!!!

  37. dadawg Says:

Well, I guess we know which team showed up …

  38. Gregg Ellis Says:

Yep. AA team that can’t hit anything and looks out of sync. Oregon’s defense, now, is stifling.

  39. tupelopixdotcom Says:

No doubt. This beer doesn’t even taste right watching such a stinkfest. Our shooting is HORRENDOUS.

  40. thingreenline Says:

Well, it’s been a decent season, but it looks like the road comes to an end tonight.
Imagine that, an early exit in a tournament.

  41. judwe Says:

Stansbury’s taken a whole lot of heat for his teams NCAA performances. Bottom line in this one… we’ve gotten lot’s of wide open shots and can’t hit the broad side of a barn… that’s not coaching… that’s EXECUTION !

  42. rwriffe Says:

All I will say is LAZY, LAZY, LAZY. No Heart.

  43. tupelopixdotcom Says:

Hard to watch without getting my feelings hurt. I have to keep reminding myself “it’s just a game, it’s just a game” My brackets all shot to hell anyhow since Uconn went down in flames.

  44. judwe Says:

Need to get Ravern and Phil LOTS of PT in the second half. Someone’s going to make a shot.

  45. tupelopixdotcom Says:

Yeah I have no qualms with Stans in this one. We just can’t shoot, he’s got us getting god looks.

  46. tupelopixdotcom Says:

    good looks that is

  47. imabulldog Says:

they can’t shoot that good again

  48. tupelopixdotcom Says:

Let Ravern go in and bust some heads

  49. tupelopixdotcom Says:

At least it’s not Sienna beating us like a drum at half. Poor nerds.

  50. judwe Says:

new blog post up…. misery continues there….

  51. hailstate Says:

Is our gameplan to stick with 2-3 D and cross fingers that wide open Duck misses? Sit Jamont down a bit, anything to get some life in the team.

  52. rwriffe Says:

Yea, I didn’t think Foster could keep up the pace he did either.

  53. hailstate Says:

Gregg, are coming home tonight or in the morning?

  54. Gregg Ellis Says:

If they lose, in the morning. But hey, MSU is on a 8-0 run.

  55. hailstate Says:

These refs really don’t like Jamont.

  56. hailstate Says:

I don’t care if Rhodes carves the whole solar system on his head if it helps him score 30+.
