I’ll take MSU over an overconfident and less than consistent Memphis team. Very similar to State in many ways and with the sporadic 3 point shooting I wouldn’t be surprised to see both teams play zone and several players get fouled out.
Gordon and Hansbrough have to break out of the slump for us to win but I think our defense holds Memphis to a an awfully low FG%.
Had to put on the Jackie Moon serious headband before going to bed tonight…might to wear it to church. At gametime tomorrow I’ll have to pull up the tubesocks to give Gordon and Hansbrough a little help with their shot.
People will call it an upset it we win by less than 10, so I say more than 10, all the idiots at ESPN cry their eyes out- cuz their brackets are shot, and Digger phelps wears a maroon tie next week- with the matching highlighter marker and acts like he’s been Rodin this horse the whole time!
I’m going to bed- getting up early to go praise the King of kings in the morning.
GG, pull us through tomorrow! I mean that babe, bring it home, I’ll try not to shoot my tv if we lose 🙂
I saw Dawgs win it 77 – 69. I think Ben will be on fire!!
Happy Easter to everyone! I have to get off this computer and get ready for church. We are NOT used to going to the 8:30 services….but since Bryan always asks so nicely for everyone to come to an earlier service, it is the least I can do.
No regional rivalry
Though Memphis and MSU are only separated by 175 miles, the two have not met since 1985. MSU coach Rick Stansbury said he’s tried to play Memphis.
Memphis coach John Calipari said that aside from scheduling “buy” games against teams from lower-rated conferences, he’d rather schedule national teams whose games against Memphis have a greater chance of being on national television
Ben is definitely due a good 3 point shooting game. I believe we are fired up for the entire game, Memphis is stunned by our hustle and we win 77-62. This isn’t the coffee, chocolate, marshmallows, or jelly beans talking that i’ve had this morning either, we are gonna look good.
I see us playing like we’ve played a lot this year and that’s not playing a full 40 minutes. Memphis’ bad FT shooting is the only thing that keeps it under 10
I believe the Dawgs are capable of winning, but I don’t know if they will. I believe it will be close, at least for most of the game. I don’t think Memphis will blow State out because of the Dawgs’ defense. But they’ll only win if they hit some shots to go along with that defense.
