Quiet at the ol’ ballpark

by

Maybe it’s the threat of rain, or perhaps everyone is just tired from Saturday’s festivities, but whatever the case, there’re plenty of seats at Dudy Noble Field.

And we’re just moments from first pitch.

If any of you want, we’ll chat. But only if you’ll provide basketball updates.

It should also be noted seconds prior to the umpire chat with both coaches, the entire Georgia team came out of the dugout to shake hands with Ron Polk to say good-bye. Last week, of course, Polk announced he’ll resign at the end of the year.

I just realized I can watch it on cbssportsline.com. That’s pretty cool.

Seeing what Memphis did to Michigan St. and how they are handling Texas in the 1st, what if? ….What if we pulled off the upset against Memphis, beat Michigan State, and was beating Texas in the first half?

We probably would not be worrying about football, Garrett, Polk, Guns, Spring game offense, and Gregg you would be in Houston right now instead of by yourself at DNF.

What if? The age old MSU slogan.

No more updates if you are watching on CBSsportsline like me. Watch out for stray bullets (I mean baseballs).

  6. Gregg Ellis Says:

Thanks, gmvbham. I’m protected by the nets in front of the press box.

  7. Gregg Ellis Says:

I would be in Houston indeed, 2thdoc. Great town.

  8. Gregg Ellis Says:

    3-2 Bulldogs in B3.

  10. 2thdoc Says:

57-38 Memphis with 9:47 to play

  11. Gregg Ellis Says:

    Hub isn’t here today.

  12. farley662 Says:

Slacker! You get my football then.

  13. Gregg Ellis Says:

    Today’s attendance . . .

    2,621

  14. farley662 Says:

Sounds like the Mudcats game last night.

  15. Gregg Ellis Says:

Did you go, Farley? I forgot about it.

  16. 2thdoc Says:

    73-56 Memphis 2:45 to go

  17. Gregg Ellis Says:

Poor, poor IMA. He’s gotta be sick.

  18. farley662 Says:

Nope. Read it in the Journal this morning. You think they could get some more folks in the games since they are destroying the other teams.

  19. farley662 Says:

He could be like all the other folks in Memphis and start rooting for them because they are Final 4 bound.

  20. Gregg Ellis Says:

They need to have 1/2 price night as far as tickets are concerned. I’m going to try and go to the next home game where there isn’t a conflict with MSU baseball.

  21. Braves Dawg Says:

The need to be more friendly on children’s tickets. I’m not paying full price for a 2 and 3 year old at a Mudcats game.

  22. farley662 Says:

The new dude is all about money. They should have discount tickets for the kiddies.

  23. Braves Dawg Says:

    Jim Waide

  24. 2thdoc Says:

Gotta get his hourly rate up

  25. gmvbham7 Says:

How’s the baseball game going GG?

  26. Braves Dawg Says:

I’m sure he has no problem with that 2th.

  27. Gregg Ellis Says:

I’m trying to keep from falling asleep. It’s 3-all in the B9. Wasn’t really hoping for extra innings.

  28. Gregg Ellis Says:

Georgia leads 5-3 going into the B10.
