It’s time for some baseball.
And talk about a good start. In the bottom of the second, Connor Powers nailed a two-out home run over the right-center wall to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.
Not a bad way to start the game.

And as soon as I blogged that, Ryan Flaherty answered with a solo shot to close the gap to 2-1.
A home run fest tonight?

I guess Butler will be benched now for bunting and getting on base.
April 11, 2008 at 8:03 pm |
We did our job in the first, giving out pitching staff the lead to blow.

In T5, MSU leads 7-3
April 11, 2008 at 8:09 pm |
7-3 now Crosswhite seems to be settling in nicely.
April 11, 2008 at 8:21 pm |
7-5, B5
April 11, 2008 at 8:34 pm |
It’s now 7-6 in T6, and Michael Busby has replaced Chad Crosswhite on the mound.
April 11, 2008 at 8:44 pm |
sigh
April 11, 2008 at 8:45 pm |
Go home early Gregg… I’ll give you the headline… “That’s Baseball”
You should already have all the other quotes on file.
April 11, 2008 at 8:47 pm |
LOL.
8-7 Vandy
April 11, 2008 at 8:50 pm |
I hate being right.
The ancient burial ground you spoke of the other day is actually….
The ancient Burial MOUND
April 11, 2008 at 8:55 pm |

It’s now 9-7.
April 11, 2008 at 8:58 pm |

April 11, 2008 at 8:59 pm |
I’m going to go put on some Robert Johnson music and try to think of something more miserable than Mississippi State Baseball.
April 11, 2008 at 9:05 pm |
Tasty, gmvbham. Tasty.
April 11, 2008 at 9:14 pm |
I found it.
The American two party system.
April 11, 2008 at 9:17 pm |
This is awful. I don’t care how injured we may be… The pitching was supposed to be deep and good. Well, they are deep… in poo.
April 11, 2008 at 9:21 pm |
by my count, that’s a 11-0 run by Vany.
April 11, 2008 at 9:24 pm |

April 11, 2008 at 9:57 pm |

April 11, 2008 at 10:27 pm |
Are these guys ever gonna get it together? It’s about too late to salvage this season.
April 11, 2008 at 10:55 pm |
Dogs lose, 15-8.
April 12, 2008 at 1:02 am |

April 12, 2008 at 7:19 am |
What is the situation in the bullpen for Saturday & Sunday?
Have we used up all the kerosene?
The important thing is that we promote Raffo for the sake of continuity.
April 12, 2008 at 8:44 am |
Atleast Gregg is getting paid to watch this junk.
April 12, 2008 at 9:05 am |
Well, at least Tupelo has plenty of pitchers this year. Maybe Enis will let Polk borrow a couple of them when they are not in the rotation. They’ve got at least 5 quality starters…unbelievable for high school.
April 12, 2008 at 9:05 am |
LOL
April 12, 2008 at 10:32 am |
Read where Kirk Presley, maybe the best player to ever play at Tupelo HS, said this year’s THS team was the best HS team he’d ever seen period.
April 12, 2008 at 12:43 pm |
There is no doubt Tupelo is an awesome team. At #2 in the nation, Tupelo has a better chance of finishing #1 at the end of the season than MSU’s chance of winning a series in the SEC. Just sad….when does football season start?
April 12, 2008 at 2:11 pm |
Football started a few whens ago when some players traded in cleats for target pratice.
