The swing games are Vandy, UK, Ark, and Ole Miss with Ark being the game out of the four that I think we have the least chance of winning. Losing Brown was huge. And, in my mind, the biggest unanswered question is whether Cheese can do it. Can he take over and sustain what EJ built?

When I look at this schedule, I don’t see a single game MSU can’t win. At the same time, I can see see them losing to everyone except for Southeastern Louisiana. It’s that fine of a line.

Several games that could go either way. GT will be a new, unique experience for us, so I’m not sure what to expect there. Alabama is a toss up still since the #1 recruiting class won’t be a factor until next year. OM game will be a battle of season injuries. OM has talent, but little depth (we also lack some depth, but not nearly as much). If OM is beat up, we win. If they are completely healthy and/or we are beat up, I don’t like our chances as much. Still, I’m looking for another bowl appearanc. Another 8-5 season or better would really help our recruiting, as it will show we are not a one-time deal.

9-3 with a Peach Bowl visit. I think too many people are giving Auburn too much credit. They’ve been on a decline talent wise for the past two or three years. I can still see us losing to either Arkansas or Ole Miss though, a predictable let season swoon.

i think any of the in conference games could go anyway and this list is a little bit optimistic but it could very well happen…..i dont understand why most people are picking us to lose the GT game…..the will have a new QB and a new coach who is installing the triple option offense which will have no chance on running on all cylinders by the forth game of the year….i think we win by 13…..but most probable in my opinion is 4-4 in the sec and 4-0 out of conference(weak schedule)….

alright! Glad to see most of us say 9-3 or 8-4. I said 9-3 but you never know how a couple of these will go, and I’m with Carwest- why is everyone worried about GT?

and let me explain my predictions:
1. The games we let get away last yr, wont happen
2. We will beat Arky- I’ll be first in line running on the field- I hate em’
3. Every yr we upset somebody- its LSU’s turn
4. We lose to Auby, their new O, and a good D
5. Beatable Non conf schedule

Why on earth is everyone so sold on us winning again this year? We got lucky as hell last year in several games. Our luck has eventually got to run out. I’m still not completely sold on Croom. The few good teams we played took us to the woodshed. I hope I’m wrong, but I highly expect the “Fire Croom” comments to be back in full force come November.
June 26, 2008 at 7:14 am |
November? Farley, if this team stumbles out of the gate, you’ll be hearing it in September.
June 26, 2008 at 8:35 am |
As for the delay… just not much of a baseball fan. Loved playing it. Hate watching it.
As for Farley, unless we have another religion and politics debate, I think I can manage to steer clear of angering the newbies. Hope all goes well with the soon to be new arrival.
