Sylvester Croom, who was an All-American center in college, was asked if he felt the left tackle position was the most important on the offensive line.

He paused briefly and said smiling, “I can’t believe you asked that question to a former center. There’s no doubt that the center is the most important guy in the offensive line. Always has been, always will be. The left tacke is the second most important guy in the offensive line. So, let’s make sure we’re clear on that that.”

Again, laughter ensued.

Who knew Croom was the next Jay Leno?
