For those that follow recruiting religiously . . .

by

Athlon just sent me their Top 100 recruits for 2009.

But in the rankings, the magazine also shows how other recruiting publications rank them. It’s pretty interesting.

Also interesting is the lack of Mississippi players. Only two.

Even Jerrell Powe can see that there’s 2 on the board.

i personally prefer scout and rivals to athlon….it just seems athlon isnt as updated as the others….

Yeah, carwwest, no question Rivals and Scout lead the pack. I just liked how Athlon put them all together to show the various ranking.

How much of recruiting rankings, by any of these services, is based on watching film, practices, workouts, and combines vs who is recruiting them, and word on the street second hand knowledge?

I doubt any of these companies can actually scout all of these kids.

  7. Gregg Ellis Says:

You’d be surprised, tebmsu97. Most know their stuff and seek a lot of input from coaches. And yes, a lot even watch film.

  8. carwwest Says:

i think scout has actual scouting guys who go to combines and high schools and stuff….

I saw Kendric Hardy play as a sophmore. This kid needs to commit to MSU and complete this years recruiting class.
