Simply put, Croom was irked

It wasn’t the type of first practice Sylvester Croom had hoped for or even expected.

Too many mistakes, not enough leadership, a poor showing by the offense and conditioning all led to a grumpy post-practice interview.

“The heat won. Hands down. We were not mentally tough. But we’ll keep working at it until we get where we can handle it.”

A couple of weeks ago, Croom expressed concern about a lack of leadership. After practice, he wasn’t feeling any more confident.

When asked who he expects to step up and take a leadership role, he said he just hopes anybody will. Regardless of position or what year they are.

a poor showing by the offense

I have a feeling that this is only the first of a million times we hear this over the course of the season.

Poor showing on offense? Didn’t see that one coming. I guess even the best offenses are entitled to have a bad day every now and then.

Didn’t see that one coming? Surely you are joking conquistador. Poor showing and MSU offense have gone hand in hand since…. well I can’t remember when they didn’t.

Yes I’m joking. Who takes this offense seriously?
