Paul Mock speaks

by

Just returned from the hospital here in Tupelo after a visit with Paul Mock, Mississippi State’s head athletic trainer.

Obviously, he’s a little sore, as would be expected following quadruple bypass surgery. But he says he’s feeling good and could go home as early as tomorrow.

He did have a rough day on Sunday, but when he learned he could sleep on his side, things got better. It’s amazing how better you feel with sleep. And it helped when all the drainage tubes were removed.

He also said he appreciates everyone’s thoughts and prayers the last week and that the focus now is recovering and getting ready for rehab.

And of course, he wanted to know how practice was going. I told him he apparently had a better day yesterday than the offense. He laughed.
