For What It’s Worth …

by

… and maybe it means nothing, but the first play the Bulldogs ran in practice today was a double-handoff halfback pass. Then they worked some on a reverse play (first- and second-team skill guys). Of course, that portion of the practice was open, and there’s nothing unsual about working on those type of plays. I just found it odd they did it first thing.

I’m thinking MSU might have to mix things up a bit this week, and despite what Croom said yesterday, I don’t think he’s shown his full hand.

    Could be a trick….

But agree MSU is going to have to mix it up to keep Auburn D off balance.

If our guys step up, believe they can win, they can do it – what a big beautiful “W” that would be….

For certain next 3 games – Dawgs are going to be tested – chance to show they are real – a true contender in the SEC.

looks like three tough defenses ahead with one good offense in the next three games.

Did the trick plays pan out in practice today? The one in the game saturday sure didn’t! That play would have put us over the 40+ point mark I was hoping for. Oh, well maybe this saturday it gets completed.

    Thanks for the jinxification.

I say we fake a regular reverse and air it out to McCrae on the first play…

Uh, I realize it was open, but (honest question) why post it to where anyone can read it?

That something you mention you saw AFTER it has been run in the game for a big play. Just my honest opinion.

    Hi,
My name is Tommy, I’m a long time reader-first time poster. I live in Auburn, Al, I used to be closer to yall up in Oxford. Anyway, I’m looking forward to the game this weekend. I wish I knew a little bit about yall’s gameplan this week.

    Thanks,
    Tommy

Hey, if they didn’t want it out there, they wouldn’t have run it with everybody looking. MSU has run a few trick plays already this season, with little success. Remember, I don’t care who wins.

  11. olemiss1581 Says:

they can mix up whatever they want to, you just better lay the rod to Auburn if youre a betting man. It will be over by halftime

  12. theconquistador2 Says:

Sorry olemiss1581, but nobody is taking your bait on this post or your other. In the future you may want to put a little more thought into your smack talk. It’s kind of weak.

  13. imabulldog Says:

Kinda like the Egg Bowl last year hummmm…..

  14. jcdawgman18 Says:

Locke, everybody looking? Let’s be serious. Not just anybody can come to practice. You are one of the lucky few. Don’t waste that.

    Me love you long time!!!

Well, I’ve seen random people who aren’t reporters drop in on practices. Just sayin’. But yeah, I’ll refrain from further reports of that sort, simply because, in retrospect, it wasn’t significant enough to mention. Plus, no reason to make Croom mad at me.
