Anthony Dixon Update

RB Anthony Dixon (groin) did not practice today. He spent a lot of time on the stationary bike alongside Jamar Chaney, who was wearing a big cast on his left foot and keeping his teammate company.

Coach Sylvester Croom said Dixon’s status is still day-to-day and doesn’t know if he’ll play Saturday at Georgia Tech. If he can’t go, Croom said that won’t change his offensive approach.

“It doesn’t really change anything. He just won’t play, and we’ll play the rest of them. We’ve got (Christian) Ducre, (Robert) Elliott, (Wade) Bonner, (Arnil) Stallworth. We’ll just rotate all those guys in there and see what happens from there.”

Any extra pressure on the offensive line with Dixon out?

“No more pressure, everybody just do their jobs. That’s what it’s all about. That’s all we need to do to be better offensively – everybody do a good job every play and take responsibility for doing his job, everything will be fine.”

Don’t know if any of you saw this or not but it is a pretty good article. We arent the only offense that sucks in the SEC right now!! All though we are def the worst everybody else seems to have the same problem!!!

granted atleast they have leg excuses….and I agree with everybody 5 years is way to damn long to still be as non-productive as we have been!!! Look at the bright side…Bama doesnt have an excuse!!! they have a way more experinced (SP) QB than we do and they only put up like 175 yards against Tulane…..

i dont care about other people’s problems…they are not the ones that i have a problem with, couldnt care less…i care about mississippi state and how wxxdy sucks….i wonder how many times it has been said already, FIRE MCCORVEY!!! and croom too if he doesnt….

Although I do not like losing, especially when we had chances to win, USM had 37 yards rushing against AU. MSU had 38 yards rushing. Perhaps, AU is just good. Perhaps, the experts who predicted them to be in the BCS title game knew what they were talking about. We’ve only played 3 games of 12 (or 13). The sky is not falling!

Incorrect Dawglawyer. Under McCorvey we’ve played 50+ games and in that time frame we have consistently been the worst offense in the conference. What would our offense need to do to convince you that McCorvey should be fired? They literally cannot be any worse than last place for 5 years. Until McCorvey is there is no good news about MSU football. Period-Point Blank, to quote my man Pac-Man.

Dawglawyer, your right in that it is early THIS season for the sky to be falling, but it has been 5 years for our offense to show up. If we don’t have a new OC at the end of this season I will looking for cover.

  7. imabulldog Says:

Thats right 2th, our season is not over with yet. Ive calmed down over the last few days, but I still feel we need a better coach than McCorvey. But the season is long from over, and I can’t wait to see what develops

  8. carwwest Says:

i agree the season is not over but we have not looked very good as a football team besides on defense against auburn….we didnt play very good defense in the la tech game but then again the whole team looked flat and not ready to play in that game….the season is not over but it does not look promising….

  9. carwwest Says:

oh and the defense had its back against the wall all night so i still give them a pass…
