Truncated Fulmer Teleconference

Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer had a teleconference today, but thanks to technical difficulties, all we could get was an opening statement. They couldn’t make the connection work where writers speak to Fulmer. So here’s most of what he had to say:

• “Obviously we’re very frustrated by the results of the start of our season. I know the players feel same way. You have to find some consistency offensively and defensively. It seems like on offense it’s something different each pay, whteher it’s running the football, or throwing the football, or route running. We’ve got to find an identity offensively and gain that consistency we’re talking about.”

• “The defense has played well for the most part going up to this game. This game we’d make several good plays then give up a bad one.”

• “I don’t want to see guys hanging their head. There’s nothing right now that’s off the table. … Anything we can do to get ourselves to where we want to be.”

man oh man, and some of y’all think Croom sounds delusional…

-UT’s Off. Is dreadful, contain Hardesty and Foster- automatically gets you 2 picks. Give it to Foster enough and you’ll get 1 fumble.

-With that said, 14 points would probably win the game for us Saturday in Knox.

-Only 99,000 were at the North. Ill. Game, and after losing to UGA, I can see where less orange in the stands might zap a usually good atmosphere. Which in return helps us.

-If we give the effort like we’ve given the last 2 games, we could easily win big. Go Dawgs!!!

I’m really excited about this week’s game! My first visit to Neyland stadium, plus me & the boys are playing golf saturday morning before tailgating. BTW, if anybody knows where a group of State fans will be tailgating let me know (strength in #’s and all). I said it after the LSU game and I still believe it now. Fulmer gets croomed saturday!

I don’t think TN’s D is going to let Lee scramble like he did against Vandy, but that’s fine as long as we dump passes over the middle to Mcrae and Henderson. We don’t have enough speed to beat people deep 1on1. CC makes me nervous saying he doesn’t care if people know what play we’re running we’re still going to run it straight at them. Hopefully that’s a ploy to get them to bite on the play action. Knowing him its not. I would really be curious to see how well Ducre could do if he was the feature back (just a thought).

All praise to the D! Why we changed the scheme I’ll never understand. TN is going to turn the ball over this week I think we can put ourselves in the right spots to capitalize. Alot of big hits in the Vandy game it doesn’t get better than that.

Great win! Lets get the next 3 before the off week and make this year respectable (kinda).

    GO DAWGS!!!

Maroonwhite- you’ll love Knoxville, awesome scenery, HUGE stadium-and what you’ll find is that most TRUE UT fans, actually from Knox, are cool as heck and classy.

Good to know, Ima. I heard the seating is clostraphobic especially the visitors seating. I’m just so glad its a night game so we can get 18 in. The boys and I plan to see all the SEC stadiums (one a year, Kentucky 2009, Florida 2010). Least looking forward to LSU, heard too many horror stories 😦 Anyway, this weekend is going to be awesome, especially when we WIN!

yeah, wear purple and yellow in Death Valley 🙂

But it may be the loudest and best atmosphere in college Fball on a saturday nite
