On the Links: Hoops, Linebackers and TV

But let’s do the TV first. The MSU-Kentucky football game on for Nov. 1 will be available on pay-per-view in Kentucky. Which means that ESPN GamePlan could pick it up. We shall see.

Now to the hoops. I’ve got a full report on Mississippi State from Birmingham:

Bulldogs’ Varnado broadens his game

MSU women shorthanded to start season

Got some football, too: A story on two of Middle Tennessee State’s linebackers, Danny Carmichael and Ivon Hickmon, the latter a native of Lake who played at East Mississippi JC. And from The Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro, a piece about MTSU going up against State’s highly ranked pass defense.

    Bring it on!

Our D is one piece of our team we don’t have to worry about…especially since we went back to Zone. The weakest link on our D is Washington, he is Toast #2.

And I was very impressed with our DL- L. Williams in the UT game, that kid fights to the whistle, and can find his way to the QB

calm down there, ima. It’s just MTSU. (famous last words)

In a season like this, any win is a big win.
