SEC Power Rankings: The Dirty Half-Dozen

You’ll notice that this week’s power rankings are truncated. Call it laziness if you want; I say, I’m not gonna B.S. anybody.

Team (Pvs): Comment
1. Alabama (1): Arkansas State looks to be this year’s La.-Monroe. Yeah, right.
2. Florida (2): Who cares if Tim Tebow isn’t playing like a Heisman winner? Doesn’t need to.
3. Georgia (4): Shoulda picked the Bulldogs last week. I obviously haven’t learned my lesson, because I’m taking Florida.
4. LSU (3): I spotted the Tigers’ defense on a milk carton the other day.
5. South Carolina (5): Had a week off, so Steve Spurrier had extra time to figure out a way to beat Tennessee again.
6. Ole Miss (6): Irony of ironies – a win over Auburn on Saturday could make Tommy Tuberville’s seat too hot to handle.
7-12. I ain’t got a freakin’ clue. You try to figure out who’s better among Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, MSU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. They all stink, so I give up.

5-3, so close, the losses to La Tech & Auburn hurt then…they really hurt now.

7-10: Pick ’em from Arkansas, Auburn, UK

    11. Tennessee: Phil is only better than Crxxms.

12: MState: Crxxms is the worst HC in America.

well people said after the la tech game that it would come back to haunt us…and if we get 5 wins it will…but my problem is nothing is changing…we just keep doing the same ole some ole…agh, i aint going to start that stuff right now…

panola, i would put UT in front of KY just because KY got killed and they are very injury plagued…but others are good…

not trying to suggest anything, but whats the odds of seeing tuberville in starkville?

Got a good feeling here that the Rebels will achieve their first SEC home win in SEC play since their last victory over Miss State in the Egg Bowl of 25 Nov 2006. That game gave the Rebs a 20 – 17 victory. It could be something like a 21 – 14 win for those Rebs over Auburn on Sat.

I don’t see State getting rid of Croom this year, Woody yes, but not Croom. The thing about Tubby is the $900K more he’s getting paid right now. Plus, his assistants get paid pretty well. Not to mention the buyout price tag. I don’t think State has that kind of money.

  8. luckydog20 Says:

I agree, all of the fans that think Croom will get fired needs to get over it. We can not afford to fire him. However I do believe that we will see a new OC at the end of the year. And if I know Greg Byrnes then it will be a good one. Coach Croom has the potential to be a good coach IF he surrounds himself with GOOD assistances.

  9. bantyrooster1 Says:

I’m sorry Luckydog but Croom doesn’t have the potential to be a good coach. You could surround him with Urban Myers, Mack Brown and Nick Saban and he still couldn’t be a good head coach. He could be a good assistant however, which is what he’ll be once we get rid of him because he’ll never get a Head job again.

  10. skydawg706 Says:

THESPEAR —– The Tub is not wanted at MSU —

I think Croom is going to have to make changes to keep his job – one more year evaluation – turn it around – think he’ll can the WC game plan.

End of season be good opportunity for OC to resign health reason, like to see other changes: OL coach.
