It’ll be a huge game for Mississippi State when it battles No. 1 Alabama on Saturday. The Bulldogs must win, of course, to stay in the bowl hunt.
And the biggest obstacle, literally, will be 6-foot-5, 365-pound nose tackle Terrence Cody. Just how will MSU handle him? It won’t be easy now that he’s recovered from a knee injury.
As for the rest of the Crimson Tide, they want to end their November struggles.
Later today: SEC coaches teleconference, and new SEC Power Rankings.

BL, are you kidding us? The odds of the dawgs winning the last three games and be able to go to a bowl is like one in a billion! The best odds are that they will lose all three and the only bowl state will play in is the toilet bowl in Oxford this year. Last year was a fluke, not program progress. Our chances of seeing another bowl game in the forseeable future is going to depend a new coaching staff and how quick we can get it in place.

Hey, stranger things have happened. Not many stranger things, but a few. Although I heard Terry Bowden (Rivals.com) picked MSU to win.

C’mon, anything is possible. Maybe Bama will continue it’s slide to the finish line. Arkansas isn’t very good and we’ve got the good fortune of meeting them at home. Ole Miss is Ole Miss.
Sure, the odds are bad, but hang in there. You never know. We’ve got the player talent to get the job done and sometimes that’s enough to overcome really crappy coaching.
Go Dawgs!

Dogs out of bowl contention. Now that’s funny! We’ve been out of bowl contention since the La Tech game. That was the end of our season, losses like that just cannot happen. I do think Croom needs another year, if no major improvement, then he’s out.

Hey BL, Maybe we could hire Terry Bowden to replace Crxxm and win ’em all!!!!!

the only stranger thing that has happened was us winning 8 games last year it seems like….ha…but i think the bowl picture got erased after the auburn game…maybe we could have come back motivated after the la tech lost but we didnt and lost to a bad auburn team and it has been downhill from there….
but on some other notes, bama is not going to look over us this year and i think satan has this team playing on a different level than we are….another thing is we dont usually have much success against arkansas, like we havent beat them in like a decade or more….i know we havent beat them in the 2000’s, i cant remember past then right now….i dont know if that is from nutt or just the school but either way, we face arkansas and then nutt to finish the season….
i am a realist and i see us getting blown out of the water this weekend and losing to arkansas and then getting embarrassed by ole miss….i just havent seen enough from our coaching staff in 5 years to make me think we are just going to turn things around to salvage this season…arkansas gets better every week and ole miss is playing a lot better ball than we are right now but i guess that what happens when you have a real coach…

MSU has lost to Arkansas 9 straight times, and 10 of the last 11. The last MSU win came in 1998, 22-21. Arky leads the series 12-5-1.

I hate this time every yr becuz it’s Bama, Arky, and Ole woman.
I cannot stand any of these 3, actually my top 3 hated teams. Everytime any of these play eachother, I usually pull for the stadium to naturally implode.
Think about it…no more: oooooooooooooooh pig sooo-e!
No more: ignoring elephant sounds, or Eli Gold.
And heaven, I mean heaven, no more: Are you Ready…heck yeah, dang right!
Sounds great huh?
