MSU-Alabama: Pregame Notes

I’m typing this slowly, as my fingers are already half-frozen. Could make things interesting on deadline later. Anyway, got a lineup change: Bo Walters will start at weakside linebacker in place of Karlin Brown. Walters, a freshman, will be making his first career start. He has 6 tackles and a sack in six games.

Also, long snapper Aaron Feld didn’t make the trip because of an ankle injury, which he suffered against Kentucky two weeks ago. Senior Anthony Bowles will replace him. Now, the basics:

Records: MSU 3-6 (1-4 SEC), No. 1 Alabama 10-0 (6-0)

Last meeting: MSU won 17-12 last year in Starkville.

Current conditions: 47º, cloudy, NW wind at 7 mph. An expected low of 33º.

Press box conditions: See above. It’s open, and I’m front and center. So if you’re here, I feel your pain.

Notable stat that’s been driven into our heads over and over: Alabama hasn’t scored an offensive TD against MSU since 2004.
