On the Links, & Basketball, Too

Here we are. Game day. And right here is GameDay. Check it out. Study it. Memorize it. Or just print it out to have on hand. Or pull the one out of your paper, if you subscribe. A recap: MSU (3-6, 1-4 SEC) at Alabama (10-0, 6-0), 6:45 p.m., ESPN.

A question: Why is there a toll booth to get into Tuscaloosa? No offense, but why would I want to pay to go there? Chicago or New York, I understand. I guess access to “holy ground” isn’t free.

Anyway, if you can’t make it to ‘Loosa, get out to the Hump for MSU’s basketball opener against Centenary, 2 p.m. The probable starting five for State: G Dee Bost, G Barry Stewart, G Ravern Johnson, F Kodi Augustus, C Jarvis Varnado.

I’ll check back with y’all from Bryant-Denny.

I was able to avoid the toll booth. I followed Matt Wyatt in from Northport and managed not to get lost.
