Arkansas-MSU: Pregame Notes

by

Last home game for the 24 Bulldog seniors. And the video board looks fantastic. It gave me a start when I looked up and saw it driving in, even though I knew it was there.

A couple of lineup changes you might already know about. J.C. Brignone is moving back to center. Michael Gates is back in the starting lineup at left guard, and Craig Jenkins is at right guard. Arnil Stallworth will be making his second start this year at fullback. And while the depth chart lists Derek Pegues at kick returner, coach Sylvester Croom said earlier this week that Delmon Robinson will handle that role today.

Don’t forget, MSU basketball at 6 p.m. at The Hump. I’ll be there thawing out.

Now, for the basics:

Records: Arkansas 4-6 (1-5 SEC), MSU 3-7 (1-5)

Last meeting: Arkansas won 45-31 last year in Little Rock.

TV: None.

Current conditions: 48º, sunny, SE winds at 12 mph. An expected high of 51º.

Press box conditions: Same, minus the warm sunlight. Should’ve took up my photographer’s offer of hand warmers.

Notable stat: Arkansas has averaged 38.6 points per game in its last five meetings with MSU.
