Egg Bowl Aftermath

For those of you who care to read about it, here is the game story from yesterday’s Egg Bowl, a 45-0 Ole Miss win. And here is a sidebar about MSU’s lack of intensity. And also, we have a notebook.

And then we have my column, which calls for change. Any kind of change, heck. Get better or get out of the way, I say. Enjoy, discuss. Oh, and check out today’s poll question. Just scroll down, it’s on the left.

On the basketball front, the MSU men suffered their first loss yesterday, against Washington State. The Bulldogs (5-1) will face Texas Tech (5-1) at 4:30 p.m. (CST) in the Legends Classic consolation game. As for the ladies, they remain undefeated (4-0) after a win over UL-Lafayette in their first road test.

Incredible that 45% of your poll want Croom back in some form or fashion. I’ve followed the dog’s for 40 plus years and the loser mentality goes on and on. 😦

Is their a possibility to get Brian Kelly from the Big East? Or get Ellis Johnson back as Head coach?

Croom has left a good legacy, he cleaned up the program and made them respectable again in the SEC. But unfortunately there needs to be change. I think that is why the new AD was brought on. We need to become competitive and our budget needs to reflex that.

Yeah Croom’s legacy was sealed by the score yesterday. I’m tired of hearing about all the good he’s done.
4 wins. Yeah that’s a lot to be proud of.

dawgface, I was laughing at that also thinking that half of the votes to keep Crxxm are surely Ole Miss fans. What could be better for them and Ole Miss?

  5. bantyrooster1 Says:

Probably 50 percent of the people voting to keep Croom in the poll question are Ole Miss people. After yesterday, who can blame them?

Croom should be fired as soon as possible. His comments after the game are laughable if it weren’t so sad. It may be a mystery to him but not others. Lazy recruiting, bad coaching, bad game day management all adds up to a 45-0 beating. He is in way over his head. An apology to MSU fans would have been nice but he is too arrogant to do that. Short, sassy answers to tough questions are the best he can do. A real man might have addressed the questions head on but not Croom. This man is not all he cracks himself up to be. Sorry Croom supporters (if there are any) but he is a career assistant who thought he was ready for the big time but obviously is not. I hope Byrne knows he has the overwhelming support of State fans if he pulls the plug on this disaster.

Praise the Lord and thanks to Greg Bryne for having the nuts to do what’s right.
