Staff Changes

New MSU football coach Dan Mullen has already made some staff changes, according to team spokesman Joe Galbraith. Louis Campbell (linebackers), J.B. Grimes (offensive line), Pat Washington (receivers) and Brad Pendergrass (assistant AD/football operations) have all been reassigned within the athletic department. They will not be a part of Mullen’s coaching staff.

Reassigned? they must be under contract?

i think campbell could still be useful as a LB coach….the rest, doesnt really matter….

I was hoping to keep JB Grimes. Met him a few times just a genuine fun guy to be around.

I will say this- Grimes is one intense guy, and its not his fault our O-line sucked. He was always the first on and last off the practice field during my tenure

He’s our offensive line coach and it wasn’t his fault our offensive line sucked? I don’t know the man, but if we expect to be a winning program we need accountability across the board.

Off topic, guys please don’t throw rocks at me. Brad, I’ve got a question maybe you can relay to someone else in the sports dept. With the auto bailout falling through, and talk of GM and others having to fold camp. What will happen to nascar if several of the automakers go under? I know it’s not your dept but it’s just something I thought about.

Any rumors in the works for coordinators?

Watch msualum, I worked with the man. Great coach, great energy.

The reason they sucked was because we had a stubborn coach who was running a system he didn’t have the talent to run

  9. Braves Dawg Says:

Ima, I think it’s been well established that you worked with the team back in the day. LOL!

Ima worked with the team? The hell you say!

Bigdraws: I somehow became the de facto NASCAR guy at the Journal. I don’t know a whole lot, but I can tell you that even if Detroit doesn’t get the bailout that it – and that NASCAR – wants, the sport will still be OK. It’ll just be a little tougher. We’ve already seen layoffs, there is no testing next year, and sponsorships are not coming easy. I hear they might even have some races next year without full 43-car fields.

Sorry, didn’t mean to be repetitive over the past few months, but when people want to know about something, or somebody, or what something was like behind the scenes- I’d usually share. I won’t say it anymore- besides all the people I knew are gone now- and a “thank God” for that, when it comes to most of them. In some cases it is easier to explain all of the above or stand up for someone if you knew them and what’s going on. So my apologies to the Vets on here, sorry if I was annoying. Never again. Farley, how’s that’s boy?

Just joshing ya ima. He’s doing good. No more dr’s visits until March!

  15. Says:
