On the Sunday Links

A basketball injury update: Junior guard Barry Stewart has a sprained left wrist, which he suffered in Saturday night’s 79-60 win over South Alabama. He will not practice this week and will be a game-time decision when MSU faces Cincinnati on Thursday at the Big East/SEC Invitational.

On the football front, here is the latest on Mark Hudspeth, the North Alabama head coach who has been hired as MSU’s passing game coordinator, according to the Times Daily article. Said Hudspeth to the paper, “I grew up a Mississippi State fan, and always dreamed of a chance to coach there.” We’ll have more on this later.

Also, I had a story in today’s Journal examining how new coach Dan Mullen‘s schemes will fit State’s current personnel.

After reading it, I didn’t see anything about Anthony Johnson returning is he gone?

defense is going to be very young but i think the LB spot will be strong….chaney, white (hopefully), wright, walters, etc…i hope the year off didnt hurt anthony johnson too much assuming he comes back….it will def be interesting to see who we bring in as DC and other defensive coaching positions….
