Any update on the indoor practice facility for basketball?

Any update on expansion of the Hump, Dudy Noble or Davis Wade?

Is there any chance the new president puts a stop to this crazy logo change?

How are things going with Cohen and the team? I’ve seen them practices a little this winter.

What was that video that was playing on MooTron before the Vandy game?

    That enough?

  2. thespear Says:

When are they gonna schedule alternative uses of the new video board? (such as movies, etc.)

  3. themaroonandwhite Says:

good question thespear…hopefully they start once it warms up. a nice action movie with a $5-$10 fee, popcorn, drinks…would be great!

  4. mississippipitbull Says:

i love msu football. lets talk about some msu football. who do you think would just complete the puzzle for us? How about a great dual threat QB in case things go wrong because as msu fans things do happen. this is my first post so i wanted to make it good and make it count. speaking of how about an accurate and powerful kicker. i know we got a great punter. remember they are keys to the game as well. keep up the great work.

  5. dadwithpride Says:

    a. hear we signed another coach from USM. Hope this one stays longer than 17 days. ANy word on this?

    b. 20 wins Basket ball used to be a lock for the Dance? Still so, if not, how many, and do you see us geting there?

  6. mississippipitbull Says:

I also think that you should do follow up interviews with recruits that commit tothe great state of mississippi. i’d like to know what chad bumphis has to say about his situation and his future teammates. i’m a tupelo guy staying loyal to the locals. i also heard loe miss told chad bumphis the only wayhe was going to get on ole miss campus was to pay. this coming from a jealous rival. they hate when you talk about recruiting class coming in. pitbull out.

  7. maroon1white Says:

I keep hearing Mullen is expected to pull out one or two more key recruits before signing day. Who’s left that has State on their list? We’re @ 23 commits, how many more can we sign?

  8. imabulldog Says:

what is the meaning of life…just playin’

  9. cndobbs Says:

I have a good question, what is the word on the pitching rotation and starting lineup for the baseball team.

  10. jmbulldog Says:

What does GB say about the progress on a basketball practice facility?

  11. JB Says:

The thing above says leave your question.

My question is: When will we ever see Miss State with a winning football team?

  12. imabulldog Says:

How about this year JB, who knows maybe a ‘lowly’ bowl

  13. JB Says:

My happy greeting to you on this, so far, successful basketball season. A thing of possibility for remembance is that Ole Miss could beat the dawg twice this season. Just a thought!

  14. goldendawg Says:

    Not likely, JB.

  15. JB Says:

ima thing gota get better. not another 45-0

  16. JB Says:

Really, I think that the football team will improve and be one to contend with. A good OF line, RBs and QB that can execute plays that State is noted for. AD did not have much of a chance this season to show off.

  17. maroon1white Says:

I doubt AD gets anymore touches than he did this past year. I think the scheme is going to have the ball being “spread” all over the field. He’s definitely a valuable talent. We’ll see how things will take shape come April 18th.

  18. imabulldog Says:

You are right JB, he fought for every yd he got.

And agree with you as well m1w, hopefully we’ll actually be able to keep defenses “off-balanced”

Can’t you see someone from Croom’s staff reading that, “what does that mean?” 🙂

  19. leeearl Says:

What about Pat Patterson? I know he decommited from us, but it was because he wanted to be part of a spread offense….well, guess what?
Well, you know….any word on him possibly coming back?

  20. bulllsy Says:

When are you going to change the header on this blog page?

Currently you have Jerious Norwood, Justin Pigott, and Charles Rhodes. None of which play at MSU any longer. . . just say’n

  22. benzadawgfan Says:

Our recruiting class looks great, but seems very heavy on skill players and db. I realize the need for them with our new offense, but are there any more o-lineman in our sites for the few remaining scholarships? Does the coaching staff feel as though what we have with the players who were red-shirted last year will be sufficient? If we keep coming up with so many questions, will you have a nervous breakdown by Friday? Hope not, I enjoy the fruits of your labor! Thanks B-rizzle.

  23. imabulldog Says:

BL, what coaches did Mullen keep from Croom’s staff

  24. maroon1white Says:

The only lineman we have left to make an official is Aubrey Phillips from OB. 6-6 345 lbs according to scout.com. His official is this weekend. He’s got TN as his favorite but he’s already been up there and is still going on visits so who knows maybe Mullen can sway him our way.

  25. vetdawg Says:

Hi, this is my first post. I heard rumors that Leo Seal Jr. left the athletic department a sizable gift when he passed away in November. When will this gift be announced and what are the plans for the donation?

  26. atldawg Says:

Great blog BL. Keep up the good work.

My question: How do coaches decide how many schollies to offer above the limit? Suppose the 2 uncommitted vistors this weekend (Phillips and Hines) commit to State. That puts us at the 25 limit. Then let’s hypothetically say Greg Reid wants to commit. Where do we get a scholly for him? I know we wouldn’t turn him away. Would we pull someone else’s, grayshirt someone, or just hope someone doesn’t qualify so we’d oversign?

  27. imabulldog Says:

Think its private Vet, and by that I mean assigned to cover expenses concerning the coaching staff and changes needed.- i may be wrong tho

  28. benzadawgfan Says:

I remember Patterson saying that he, Tyler, and Chad were all gonna go play together. Doesn’t mean much, but he said it. I say offer everybody a scholarship, when we get ink on paper, we can sort it out. I’m pretty sure that’s how the guys who pretty much take their pick handle things. If we could know a verbal was 100% it would be different, but we can’t afford to let 1 get away because we were misled by another.

Phantom that 2nd one is hilarious!

  31. tennesseemarine01 Says:

    Brad,
Have you had the chance to interview Dr. Keenum on his take on all that has happened in the athletics dept. I know for a fact he has a back ground in football because he and I went to high school together in Corinth. In fact he played center for the Warriors for 3 years and was all little 10 conference if my memory serves me right. It would be interesting to get his take on it all since he had a ringside seat for most of the Mullen hiring. Just wondering.
    Thanks,
    TennesseeMarine

  32. rwriffe Says:

Phantom, that second video is a classic. I mean some funny #$#%. Whoever put that together is ok in my book. LOL

  33. midnightdawg Says:

What if any rift/betrayal was there between Stans/Richard Williams? Can’t sleep, sorry

Poll ?:Bubba Burnham or Chris Lowe? Seems relevent considering our presidential choices this “season” (pick your poison) and my ocd over the 1st question

  34. vetdawg Says:

An earlier question was asked about expansion of Dudy Noble. What are the chances of the bleacher stands all being made chairbacks?

Any chance that the club hockey team gets more support or is this a dead issue due to Title 9?
