Razorbacks & Recruiting

Today is Round 2 for Arkansas and Mississippi State. MSU won the first one, 70-56, last month in Fayetteville. Tipoff today at Humphrey Coliseum is 2 p.m. Here is a look at my advance in today’s Journal, which examines how the 3-point shot can be a “magic pill” for the Bulldogs.

In other news, the MSU softball team dropped its season opener yesterday, falling 4-0 to Kennesaw State. In tomorrow’s Journal, I’ll have a column about the 2009 football recruiting class and what could lie ahead for the Bulldogs. Speaking of recruiting, here’s an interesting take on recruit rankings by Ray Melick of The Birmingham News.

I’ll check back before tipoff.
