On the Links: Baseball & Roundball

Well, here’s my recap of John Cohen‘s winning debut as Mississippi State’s baseball coach. Not much to it, per instructions I received. Must’ve been a space issue. You can actually get more from my postgame blog entry last night. The Bulldogs play twice today. Oh, and a note: Season ticket sales, as of Friday, stood at 5,413, third-most all-time. The record is 5,696 in 2002.

But I won’t be back at Dudy Noble Field, because I’ll be at Coleman Coliseum for some hoopage. MSU (17-9, 7-4 SEC) visits Alabama (13-12, 3-8) in a Western Division showdown. Much has changed for the Crimson Tide since the teams last met, an 83-75 MSU win on Jan. 14, but it’s always a tough game for the Bulldogs. Tipoff is 2 p.m., which means I’d better hit the road. See y’all there.
