  1. Brad Locke Says:

Augustus hits a layup right off the bench, puts MSU up 9-7.

  2. darkcooger Says:

The SEC’s live stats page is worse than MSU’s… at least MSU’s stats page always shows that a game is started. Argh.

  3. Brad Locke Says:

State’s up 17-15 with 11:00 left in the half. Ravern Johnson has two of MSU’s three 3-pointers, and Kodi Augustus has five points off the bench.

  4. darkcooger Says:

For anyone else trapped at work and unable to watch or listen to the game, ESPN’s GameCast is working well:

  5. Brad Locke Says:

A 10-2 run has MSU up 24-17 with 7:48 left in the half. Augustus has 8 points on 3-of-4 shooting to lead State.

  6. Brad Locke Says:

Ravern Johnson’s third 3-pointer give State its largest lead, 30-17, and Georgia calls timeout.

  7. darkcooger Says:

We need another 10-2 run! Pad that lead! That Georgia team has already shown us that they eat up the second half.

  8. darkcooger Says:

I’ll accept a 14-point halftime lead. I like the free-throw numbers, and I’m LOVING Jarvis with nearly a double-double in the first half. Go Dawgs!

  9. carwwest Says:

very good first half by our dawgs, especially jarvis!…i will say this, you can tell augustus is playing with more urgency on both ends of the floor….i like when he is in the game with varnado but i only wish we would leave turner in and take stewart out when he comes in….why does it always seem stewart refuses to take a normal shot and forces it to be a fade away??

keep feeding the big guys and dishing to rayvern lets get this game under wraps!!
    GO DAWGS!!

  10. Brad Locke Says:

Internet is back … for now. Some quick halftime stats for MSU:
    • Ravern Johnson 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting, 3-of-7 from 3-point;
    • Jarvis Varnado 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting, 9 rebounds;
    • Kodi Augustus 10 points on 3-of-2 shooting, 2-of-2 from deep

MSU has 18 rebounds to Georgia’s 14, six turnovers to Georgia’s seven. Dogs are shooting 51.7 percent from the floor (15 of 29) and 35.7 percent from 3-point (5 of 14).

  11. Brad Locke Says:

MSU took its largest lead, 60-44, on a Barry Stewart 3-pointer. It’s now 60-46 with 11:16 to go.

  12. dadawg Says:

    Kodi is on fireeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  13. Brad Locke Says:

Kodi Augustus checked out moments ago after being in for a stretch of 6 minutes, 42 seconds. He has a game-high, and career-high, 19 points. MSU has its largest lead of the game, 68-48, with 7:53 left.

  14. markillas44 Says:

hard to complain about shooting 50% from the field

  15. dadawg Says:

What? Were we playing two bigs at the same time?

  16. markillas44 Says:

smacked that bi*ch up…good way to start the tourney

  17. Brad Locke Says:

And that’s a final, 79-60. South Carolina tomorrow at 2:15 Central. Recap and reaction to come.

  18. imabulldog Says:
