Now that I’m (finally) back in town, I suppose I can open up ye olde Blog Bag once again. And I bet I can guess what most of the questions will address (no, not the correct siting of a temperature sensor). As I’m sure you all know, spring football starts today, and what a perfect day for it – my Weather Channel app says it’ll be about 73 degrees when practice begins at 3:30 p.m.
To review, here is the spring practice schedule:
Today – 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 26 – 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 28 – 10 a.m.
Tuesday, March 31 – 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 2 – 3:30 p.m.
Friday, April 3 – 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 4 – 10 a.m.
Tuesday, April 7 – 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 9 – 3:30 p.m.
Friday, April 10 – 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 11 – 10 a.m.
Tuesday, April 14 – 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 16 – 3:30 p.m.
Friday, April 17 – 3:30 p.m.

Not to revert to old news—I have a question for the AD or Coach Stans. Is there a plan for next season on challenging the so called “upper tier” teams like: Louisville, UConn, N. Carolina, Duke, Marquette, or Texas’s of the world? During the regular season, of course. I would also enjoy meeting Wash. again at the Hump or a neutral site—away from their home ref’s–I mean crowd–I mean horribly called game…Yes, I am still angry about the game.

Question: What is the anticipated turnout for Super Bulldog weekend? Will we need to fight for space in Junction? or will there be no tailgating? Will RV’s be permitted in emptied parking lots around stadium/the Hump?

dadwithpride, i will be tailgating whether it is allowed or not!!

I don’t know anything about Super Bulldog Weekend other than I plan to go for the first time in many years. Looking forward to seeing our football Dawgs. I was stoked about going to last year’s Auburn game, too, and wow did that turn out poorly. Make it better, Dawgs!
Question: With basketball over, what happens? I guess that applies to all sports. I’ve always wondered what the teams do when the season is over. Do they have a standard wrap-up, maybe a last team meeting? A celebration if they had a good season? Surely they don’t just disband and not see each other again until the next season. Do they have team-based activities during the off-season to keep the team feeling alive?
I imagine it has to be a huge change of pace to go from practicing, playing, preparing, and reviewing all the time to… nothing. Surely the coaches have some activities in place to help ease that transition.

DWP, we’re also planning on tailgating. I’m sure they won’t mind.

After GA Tech what other schools from power conferences are we looking at scheduling for football?
Will the scoreboard be up and running during the spring game?
Are there any plans on expanding any of our fields/arenas in the future?
Do we have any current depth charts for football?
