John Brady didn’t stay unemployed too long.
On Tuesday, the McComb native was introduced as the head coach at Arkansas State.
What do you guys think about this move? Can he win at ASU? Will he stay there long if he does win?

I didnt know he was from McComb. Most people dont realize it but Coach Carter from the movie played by Samuel L. Jackson was from McComb, moved to California later. I met him at PBL convention in Nashville 2 summers ago where he was the guest speaker.

I hate John Brady, yes he will there and I don’t think he will stay long if he wins there is a another big job out there for him before to long he is to good of a coach not to be in a big time conference.

Isn’t it fun to learn something new every day!

If he has some good seasons, somebody will hire him away. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: John Brady is a loon!!!

He’s a walking billboard for stroke medicine.

He is one of more favorite coaches to watch on the sidelines, for sure.

Gregg are you going to go watch Tupelo and Starkville play tonight? It should be a pretty darn good game.
March 18, 2008 at 12:49 pm |
No. I’m going to stay in with the family. Heading to LR in the morning.
March 18, 2008 at 12:52 pm |
Oh, good idea. I will swap with you though if you need a little extra time with the family. You come teach 7th graders and I will go to LR to cover the games.

I’ll pass. Thanks. But I told Gary I would come and watch them some this year. I just haven’t had the chance.

I think Brady is actually a pretty good coach. I wouldnt be suprised one bit to see a larger school come calling if he has a good tenure at ASU

Well if they dont lose a game this week they should move into the top 5 in the nation. Well thats just my opinion on the matter. They have a lot of tough games this week.

Gregg, what’s the deal with M. Henig being on the sidelines yesterday at practice? Was he just there to watch, or is he thinking about coming back?
We have to have the worst looking uniforms in the SEC in the three major sports! When are we gonna dump Russell Athletics? Sounds like a job for Byrne to work on.

I wasn’t at practice yesterday, but I’m sure he was there to watch. Remember, he didn’t leave on any bad terms or anything.

I wish they would go back to Nike and use the interlocking logo again.

Braves, we have LT to thank for that I believe.

I thought I was on Gene’s Page for a minute with all this uniform talk.

Okay, I’m back from computer log on problems. I think Brady is crazy, I’m sure the LSU fans are glad to get rid of him. Good luck to ASU.

Brady is, shall I say, a “Baby Ruth”? (think Caddyshack)
Almost was his brother in law. Thank God I didn’t take the plunge with that one. Just a few months later, he files a Tammy Wiiii-net and goes the D-I-V-O-R-C-E route.
Old Johnny boy will fit in real nicely in Jonesboro.

Shady Brady will win at ASU, thought he would have gotten a little bigger job. People in LA. hate john brady and he never helped himself, couldn’t stay out of the girls dorms for a while. Sounds like a coach he worked for at MSU. We should thank LT for the switch to addias for more money. I guess since you can’t buy new gear then pay the money the dept. would lose to go back to nike and I bet little Greg will listen to you. Remember little Greg is going to listen and talk to all the $50 millioaires, not the just the big money boys. And if you believe that I have a bridge to sell you. But just drink the Greg Bryne cool aid and let’s see what he does.

Hate to tell you this Kingdeal, but those $50 millionaires play our athletic budget, you piss them off, not much of a budget.
