A bit late with this. So pose your questions, and I’ll track down as many answers as I can. Why do I get the feeling most of them will center around the offense?

Here is a good question-What is the time frame of the new scoreboard and the new basketball practice gym.

  2. 2thdoc Says:

Why does Crxxm and Wxxdy refuse to dump a freakin screen pass to Robert Elliot?

  3. thingreenline Says:

Will you try to interview Wxxdy and ask him his thoughts on the season, or the past five years for that matter?

  4. thingreenline Says:

Will there ever be any plans to commemorate Jack Cristil, in any form or fashion, before he retires?

  5. cowbellpresident Says:

    Brad,

I saw in Monday’s Print Edition a letter to the Editor from a State fan with a last name of Garrett – He indicated that he would rather watch Ole Miss since our Offense is so terrible. Could this be the now infamous father of the QB Chris Garrett?

  6. msstate1 Says:

well my only question is when in the wide world of sports is Lee and the other speedsters gunna get their chance?

  7. msstate1 Says:

hey when can State see some of the offensive schemes that Dallas has. Short simple passes for some good yardage

  8. bigdraws Says:

When will the seating for basketball tickets begin?

I’ve always thought a statue outside of the stadium would be great. They’ve got a display of him next to the hall of fame, but he deserves more than that.

  9. dc31 Says:

In the first game Delmon Robinson was the best playmaker that was out there…Where is he?

  10. bigdraws Says:

hurt. May come back this weekend.

  11. shmuley Says:

Ask the walrus if he has any room on that Sonic menu he has strapped to his forearm during games to write in a reminder, “Put Delmon in the game.”

  12. bigdraws Says:

Anybody else hear the postgame show Saturday night. Sly said, “We play GT next weekend. That means we’ll be preparing against the wingbone.” LOL!!!

  13. imabulldog Says:

    Thats funny shmuley.

(1)Anyway, who in CC’s eyes really stepped up for the D last week? I mean as far as guys who we don’t quite know about yet, because I saw some guys I did not know on the field last week.

(2)Ask CC, what he feels we can do offensively vs GT this weekend?

  14. bigdraws Says:

Any word on when the basketball schedule will be finalized?

  15. chrisfromcorinth Says:

Just how pissed was CC getting about the questions he was getting on the radio last night.

  16. imabulldog Says:

What did Q’s did he get Chris?

  17. bigdraws Says:

I got one for him. Why hasn’t Wxxdy been s##t-canned yet?

  18. theconquistador2 Says:

Does Crxxm and McCxrvey know what the large white stripe at midfield is not the goal line?

  19. Brad Locke Says:

Great questions, people. Keep ’em coming.

  20. carwwest Says:

did felker really call last year’s KY game?
how does he feel about the decommit of pat patterson and about the ones to come?
why will you not do whats best for our university??

    those are good questions….

  21. desertdog2005 Says:

It looked like Croom was discouraged during the game. The man wears his emotions on his sleeve, he looked sick to his stomach. Was he? If the offense remains horrible this season as it has been the last 5 years, would he consider moving Woody to only Assistant Head Coach and hire a better offensive coordinator? How bad does the offense have to be before Coach see’s that his friend may not be the best thing for Mississippi State as an offensive coordinator but remain on staff as the Assistant Head Coach?
As an alumni the AD asks us for gift and we give to help, the time has come for us to receive a gift of a championship program. We have the right head coach, the defense coaches look amazing so far this season, but the offense continues to damage our chances. Give us the gift of a new offensive coordinator and move Wxxdy to Assistant head coach.

  22. imabulldog Says:

I’d give 100 dollars to see McCorvey gone, tell the AD, we’ll all chip in on our donations to make it happen. Go get Al Bourges, someone…

  23. msudawginbama Says:

good point, desert. if crxxm doesnt wanna fire wxxdy, just lessen his responsibilities. (or a less PC version: don’t let him screw up what’s on the field) State isnt going to be able to go out and get a top notch Offensice Coordinator. first off, none of the “good” ones would want to come to Starkvegas, or if they were interested they’d probably hire the coaches’ equivalent of Scott Boras.
dont know what’ll fix what got the offense so backwards, but the person calling the plays gets the initial blame….
La Tech game, turnovers killed MSU; Auburn game 116 yards in one hour killed MSU…

  24. imabulldog Says:

Thats all we have always done anyway-recycle people into the system.

Brad, Ask what Fitz said to the Offense the other night, after the last D stand he got in all their faces like-Move the dang ball? Just wondering

  25. tebmsu97 Says:

I want to know where Croom feels the breakdown is with our offense. The only thing that is the same after 4.25 seasons of horrible offense is the coaching staff. If the problem is not in the coaching staff where is it?

Hats off to our defense, they played a great game.

  26. dadwithpride Says:

Do assistants have buyouts? Are they hired and fired by HC, AD, or State School Board?.Would the school/state board/AD not fire a teacher contnuosly ranked near bottom nationwide(right now we’re at 106 out of 120.)

  27. biloxi13 Says:

I would like to know how he fits that big head of his so far up his @$$.

  28. carwwest Says:

is it true that on the Dawg show croom said he didnt see anything wrong with the playcalling and that he is the one calling the plays??…if so are problems are bigger than i thought….

  29. bleedmaroon Says:

I don’t know why everyone is so surprised about our offense, I mean look at the spring game. OT? in a spring game? hint hint. Something needed to change then.

  30. theconquistador2 Says:

I’ve heard Croom say before that every play comes through him. So I guess McCorvey calls the play and then Croom hits the approve or deny button.

  31. imabulldog Says:

yeah, but they are too mucha friends for him to override Wxxdy.

Man, Im not one to go after coaches but, I want a new Off Cord. so bad.

I wish he woulda taken that job at ASU

  32. dawgbones Says:

Ask Crxxm this — If we are behind 1 point against Georgia Tech in a defensive struggle where field position is key and we face a 4th and 15, have 2 timeouts and 4:48 left on the clock, is he going to punt? Also, ask him if he remembers a 4th and 1 Orgeron call that made a lot more sense than last week’s 4th and 15 call. Why did that one make more sense you might ask? We hadn’t stopped Mississippi from running the ball all day. Against Auburn we had not converted a 3rd down play, not to mention 4th down. Heck, just go for it and ask him if he is really that stupid?????

  33. dawgbones Says:

Ask Crxxm about politics. Does he think that Obama violated the Logan Act when he asked Iraqi officials (while on his ‘European’ tour) if they would delay any troop withdrawal agreements until after the election or is this simply another example of Obama’s really poor judgment?

  34. thingreenline Says:

    That’s b.s., dawgbones

  35. cnd46 Says:

Here is a good question for anybody, who do you think the new MSU President will be, my money is Dr. Mark Keenum

  36. bamabredbutadawgatheart Says:

I’ve been hearing Wxxdy has cancer, is this true?

  37. thingreenline Says:

    That’s what I think as well, cnd46

  38. thingreenline Says:

Yeah, cancer of the offense. It makes his balls drop and his holes aren’t opened up enough for stuff to flow through it.

  39. maroondog Says:

Hey Brad, I have not been on here since last football season. Man alot has changed. Congrats on the new job. My question is “Does Croom make halftime adjustments?” It seems like he watches a game and sees a problem, but believes that he can do nothing about it until the following week. Every interview is “next week that will change” or “_______ will get playing time next week” I am not an expert by any means, but if the players you have are not doing the job, then adjust DURING the game.

  40. maroondog Says:

Also, are we going to run the option again or how about a screen?

  41. hemidodgeram Says:

I know Robert Elliott is a young player, but if you have seen this kid play, then you know he has got alot of talent. I think Croom has at least got to give him a chance to show what he has got. Dixon looks like sometimes he wants to play and sometimes he don’t. ALSO, Woody has got to go, and if Croom doesn’t want to do it, then maybe he should go too!!! If Sly doesn’t want to get rid of him, he could at least get the new AD to give him the ax!!!

  42. dc31 Says:

I like the thought of making WM an assistant head coach…Go get a seasoned guy from Georgia, Fresno State, BYU.

Al Borges could get us where we need to be

  43. thingreenline Says:

Brad, can the “avatar,” or whatever you want to call the pic on the main page, be replaced. Maybe something that isn’t outdated with a pic of Rhodes and others that aren’t here anymore? How about a generic M-State logo or sumthin’? Or Polk in a straight-jacket, since he’s the reason it got changed last time.

  44. bantyrooster1 Says:

How about a picture of Croom’s sonic menu strapped on his arm?

  45. Brad Locke Says:

I’ve gotten answers to several of these questions, some more I’ll try to get today. I can answer a couple right now:

    • Jeff Garrett is in no way related to Chris Garrett.

    • One of your fellow posters created that blog header and has promised to send an updated one soon. But he’s a busy man.
